Meet Emily Gregg, our new Redesign Manager
SHARE

Emily recently moved from Sydney to Moruya to join the Eurobodalla Developments team as the Redesign Manager. We sat down with Emily to find out what her role involves and how she is enjoying her move to the South Coast.

Tell us a bit about yourself?
I started in Health in 2018 as a Graduate Health Management Trainee in Northern Sydney Local Health District and since then have worked in several roles across the system including statewide roles. I have worked a lot in the Outpatients and Digital Health Space where most recently I was working to digitise referral pathways across large Sydney hospitals like Westmead and Blacktown.

What interested you in the Redesign Manager role with the Eurobodalla Developments team?
I have always wanted to spend some time working outside of Sydney so when the opportunity to move to the South Coast and get to work in a space which is familiar but would still challenge me was too good to pass up!

Can you tell us a bit more about what a Redesign Manager does?
My role is a new role in the Eurobodalla team. The Redesign Manager is responsible for looking at the processes in the new Eurobodalla Regional Hospital and Batemans Bay Community Health. This means looking at things like how patients will access services and how we can best use the new spaces. I am also looking at processes for our clinical teams and how they will function in the new hospital. I work closely with the broader Eurobodalla team to support how we will be moving into the new hospital and community health.

What are you enjoying most about your role?
I am currently working to understand how we are providing services today. My specific focus is the community health and outpatient space. This work has allowed me to connect with lots of the amazing healthcare teams across the Eurobodalla. I really love understanding how and why things work so while some may not love this task this has been enjoyable for me to do and it’s also helped me see our services in action as I am new to the region.

It’s a big decision to move from the city to a small regional town. How have you found the move? Has anything surprised you?
The move has been easier than I thought it would be. I am loving the opportunity to live on a farm and on the weekends exploring the beauty of the South Coast.

Nothing has really surprised me. I have found everyone to be so kind and supportive since arriving. The local team have helped me find my way around the town and really supported me from a work perspective.
