State Significant Development Application

As part of the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital planning approval process, Health Infrastructure was required to lodge a State Significant Development Application (SSDA) with the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

The SSDA seeks approval for the construction and operation of a hospital in south-east Moruya that will service the needs of the Eurobodalla Shire community.

The Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) contains detailed documentation about the project activities, any potential environmental impacts, and proposed mitigation measures. The EIS is part of the SSDA process.

The community were provided an opportunity to review the EIS documentation and provide feedback through the formal submission process.

The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure has published all submissions online, and the Eurobodalla Regional Hospital project team have provided a response to submissions along with additional information requested by the Department about the project.

On 27 May 2024, the NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure approved the SSDA for the New Eurobodalla Regional Hospital.
